I’m a passionate college basketball player with a love for the game that fuels my drive both on and off the court. As a military brat, I’ve been shaped by the values of discipline and service. Alongside my athletic pursuits, I’m also a music lover—whether it’s jamming to my favorite tunes or discovering new artists, music plays a significant role in my life. I strive to combine my love for basketball, my roots in service, and my passion for music into everything I do!

My name is Tyra Harrell, and I’m proud to call the 804 my home. Basketball has been my passion since I first picked up a ball in the 6th grade. The thrill of the game has shaped my life in countless ways, teaching me discipline, teamwork, and the beauty of community.
Growing up in a family of Army veterans, I learned early on the importance of service and commitment—not just to our country, but to our community. My parents’ dedication to helping others inspired me to do the same. I believe that when we uplift one another, we create a stronger, more connected community. This belief is at the heart of everything I do.
My love for basketball extends beyond just playing; it’s about the culture, the friendships, and the joy it brings to people of all ages. I wanted to share that joy with everyone, which is why I, along with my parents, started Take It To The Hoop. Our mobile hooping trailer is more than just a rental service; it’s a way for us to bring the excitement of basketball to various events and gatherings. We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to experience the fun and camaraderie that comes with the game.
